Gas Gauge WEIRDNESS !
Well, I gave it a shot today. Cleaned the two sending units, and then reset the battery afterwards. Turned the car on and the gas gauge still reads about 1/4 tank too high... I'm going to fill up tomorrow and see if it adjusts after that.
Blak, you won't necessarily get much dirt off, but it does help.
superman, it doesn't sound like you have a dirt problem, at least, not anymore, sounds like it's actually faulty. Don't bother resetting the battery (whatever that means) it doesn't make any difference.
FWIW, i didn't even disconnect my battery to do this.

seems like its reading correct now. definitely keep a rag handy when unplugging the fuel line. i was surprised when the gas spurted out. i disconnected the battery just in case.. filled up and added some gas/injector cleaner afterwards
I reset the electrical system is what I meant, by unplugging the battery. Yeah, I am thinking the sensor is bad as well. It works ok, it's just off by 1/4 tank. I don't know which side is bad either, or if it's both.
