Disassembled the grounding system in the engine bay, brushed and de-oxed every connection as a preventative measure, found a couple that had a fair amount of corrosion on them so it definitely wasn't wasted time. I think there's a little issue with my cam actuation and I SUSPECT it's electrical resistance in the circuit so... easy and cheap first step before I go replace everything.

I love taking the G on road trips.. probably why I have put almost 25k on it in 2 years. GT car is my goal in the build, and by definition is Grand Touring.. so get out and drive.
I had a blast driving to Atlanta this summer and spending a week on the beltways and the twisties around Decatur and Peachtree..despite the crappy road conditions the Bilsteins and Eibachs sucked it up.
I really want to hit the Tail of the Dragon though.. we need to organize a SE/Mid-Atlantic mountain meet up and cruise.
Interesting. I have a JVC HU but it didn't fill in the opening of the JDM trim kit but did sit flush. Used a trim "ring" to fill the gap but it was installed 5 years ago. Yours looks good, here's how mine looked finished back then (and it's still kicking strong these days as well):
