G35 coupe black on black with automatic
Ouch
Glad you came out ok. A month or so back I hit a flat blade screw driver that somehow ended up in the road, punctured the tire and the wheel in 4 different places. It was bad enough having to buy a tire, having to buy the wheel really ruined an otherwise good day. On the thread topic, I replaced my driver side hood henge today and now the hood actually closes without rubbing.

Swapped back on my summer tires to troubleshoot a vibration and noise issue.... Good news is, the vibes past 80 are gone and the car is nice and smooth well into the triple digits....
Bad news is I still have a loud whine/hum from the back when making left turns at over 80 MPH, very slight hum when going straight, and goes away completely when making right turns.
Wheel bearing? There's no play or noises at lower speeds so it can't be too bad yet. Was really hoping my suspension would stay sorted this winter so I could drop it a little this summer!

I had an alignment after I put my winter wheels on. I didn't like how it drove then either but I was also going from brand new summers to nearly worn out winter tires. I'll try getting another at some point since the guy put in way too much toe in on both the front and back and I had already given up on getting a good alignment at that point... I've also got a 90 lb differential directly over that wheel at the moment so I'm sure that's not helping anything... When I did the brakes I saw the passenger's side bearing looked new, and the driver side was different.... I'm assuming probably original. Bought new bearings after that but needed the car and had other things to do

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
^I'm a big fan of lifetime alignments but at a trusted independent, local shop. I will never take any of our cars to a Firestone, Goodyear, Pep Boys, Sears or any other generic chain shops. My guys will do 2 alignments a year for as long as I own my car and it cost less than 2 alignments: $85 one time, $149 lifetime.
Edgar I feel your pain. Less than a year after I moved to Corpus I had an ahole get pissed off I wouldn't race him on a morning drive so he abruptly cut me off. I had 2 choices to make in a split second, hit his dumbazz which would have been his fault but might have totaled my car because insurance companies are notorious for totaling GTOs with minimal damage or eat the left oncoming curb of a turnaround at 45. Fortunately while the wheels/tires were destroyed the rest of the car didn't suffer any damage that an alignment couldn't fix. Australian build quality FTW!!!
