Haha, thanks! It just annoyed me so much every time I'd get in the G that it had to be one of the first things I fixed.

G35

Took the G to work Friday. When driving I noticed a vibration that I thought was possible flat spots in the tires from sitting too long.

While going through the gate at work, when I rolled the window down to show my ID, I noticed a popping noise coming from the front end that was speed dependent.

Long story short, my passenger side front wheel’s lug nuts where only finger tight.

Have no idea as to why... every other wheel was torqued and I don’t recall doing any work on that side... Weird.

At at least it was a simple fix and while I had the jack out, I figured I change the oil. (The oil change after the oil cooler line failure)

Dreading the worst; I threw a shop rag in a funnel in an attempt to catch anything that shouldn’t be there. Thankfully, there was nothing. Same on the magnetic drain plug as well as the filter.

So, back in went some Rotella and I put her through the paces. Launch control, rolling any-tag, brake boosting and some no lift shifts.

No issues so far; fingers crossed.

Next is a compression test.

Bone stock G35, got everything but sirius radio. :(
semi-busy day

Installed a new fuel pump and sending unit............and the other sending unit on the drivers side?

Installed a new Curt trailer hitch so I can pull my small trailer when needed.

Spent an hour trying to get the rear seat back into place......what a bitch (or was I doing it wrong?)

Got these Ichiba V1 10mm spacers to push my front wheels out a bit. But that 2-piece hubcentric design seems kinda sketchy. I thought it would press into the spacer tightly but it seems like the tolerance isnt as tight as I thought and Im able to wiggle it slightly. That defeats the purpose of it being "hubcentric" in my opinion. What do u guys think? Will it firm up some more when its actually installed?

I wonder if the taper makes it somewhat self-centering and the clamping action will take care of it. Is this their standard design ?

Edit: Looking at the picture again (the glare and angle tricked me), it looks like that center ring only increases in diameter on the wheel (outside) side to mate up with the wheel properly. I originally thought it should be flipped over or something.

I ran these spacers for years, both front and rear. Zero issues whatsoever.

Joeb be forewarned, Ichiba has a crap reputation on here. All you need to do is search for the multiple fail threads about the brand in Driver to read about the issues. I personally have had 4 different Ichiba products fail in some way or another including the extended bolts and nuts on a spacer set. The threads were extremely soft and stripped on more than 1 bolt and the nuts are very soft and round off way too easily if you put any force on them. If it were me I'd send those back if you haven't installed them yet but YMMV, just be careful.
