Just went under my G35 Sedan to see where that ATF is coming from, turns out its leaking out of this lower bolt, that holds the metal cover? Can someone tell me anything about this issue, or at least whats the name of this rusted out metal piece so i can do some research on it. Thanks guys!
That's the rear engine cover plate used to cover the hole on the opposite side of the starter, overseas the starter is on the opposite side so there's that plate to cover the hole in the bellhousing. You can just order a new one and replace it, Nissan part number 30417 - AM60A.
Doesn't explain why you're leaking ATF from there however.
Same job as an Altima, just double the amount of bolts and plastic clips. Really helped having a patient helper to get correct upward lift before tightening hinge bolts!
Performed a super coolant flush and flushed my oil.
Performed a very light detail since its cold in Maryland.
Installed a new O2 Upstream Sensor since I was under.
Installed a new lightweight battery for the summer season.
And just currently perplexed if Im missing two hoses for my oil cooler pan that sync with my new radiator - after learning they werent in my Z1 Master Hose Kit; unless they are with their shapes being different.
