04 6mt Coupe - motordyne 5/16 ART pipes TDX2; KWv2; Hotchkiss; custom seats.
Got around to installing some things this weekend. New valve covers, plugs, coil packs, and finally put the MD iso plenum spacer and grounding kit on. The harness tape/sleeve is disintegrating when touched, so trying to figure out the best way to re-wrap and tuck. Installed RJM clutch pedal in and will probably be fiddling with it for a bit, but am loving it compared to stock.

Picked up some GTR Rays, but really not sure if I'm going to put them on the G or not. Was surprised how light they are for being 20s.

Ended up grabbing these locally for pretty cheap. Niche le mans 2 piece wheels. Thinking of having the wheels torn down and have the faces hydrodipped in carbon fiber. Noticed a small hairline crack in one of the wheels so that will have to be addressed but that's about it.

Installed a blackvue 900s dashcam with power magic pro for parking mode. Tapped into the stop lamp fuse for constant power and cigg lighter for accessory power. Broke the wire cover to hide the mirror wire so expecting a new one tomorrow to clean it up. Recorded for over 6 hours in parking mode yesterday set to cut off at 12.5v

No. It records constantly when the ignition is turned on. But with the car off, it still runs on battery power through that box which is a voltage regulator set to cut off after voltage gets low. Parking mode can stay switched on or off with the switch on the box

I just used generic wire loom I ordered online and electrical tape when I did the wire tuck.

I finally drove it... been driving the Van for a month !

I do enjoy driving this car. Little sketchy in the winter weather still, but that's part of what makes it fun.

Took a 6 hr drive round trip to pick up a sport bumper. Well worth the trip and the price was too good to pass up. Now to store it in the shed before I clean it up and prime it for paint

Changed my valve cover gaskets. What the hell is this hole in the passenger crankcase?! It looks like it was punched out

It's an air pocket in the casting, use a shop vac and a screwdriver to knock off any piece that will chip with the screwdriver. Nissan quality assurance missed that spot

EDIT: Stuff rags into any holes that lead down into the block just so chips don't end up in the crankcase.

Looked at the shiny new parts, got a poly trans mount and a set of subframe bushing collars to install.

Might wait till spring lol.

I'm a bit amazed that Nissan makes such mistakes. Wonder how many engine failures occur due to an air bubble in the casting.

I hate to admit it, but Nissan quality is garbage.
