5AT guys can benefit from the 3.5 gears out of a 6MT equipped differential. There is also a 3.7 geared diff from newer 370Z's that will work but that's damned steep in the 5AT and renders 1st gear sort of worthless in the 6MT unless you are on drag tires with a sequential transmission.
The 3.7 from 370Z is a decent option. It's not dramatic enough to make 1st useless, especially considering our 6MT uses the exact same gear ratios as the G37/370Z. Oh and 07-08 G35 sedans had the 3.7 ratio matched to the 5AT.
Another decent option is a 3.9, depending on your track day needs. Haven't seen any higher than that used on this platform. Maybe the drift guys get into the 4.x ratios.

I never had that issue. I'm not sure what you mean by pulling the leather up, is there some sort of aftermarket chilling pad? The OEM implementations I've seen are of the ventilated type, where there is ducting and a fan that draws air through the perforated seating surfaces.
