True! Might as well spend a tad extra now to save alot later.

If you had unlimited funds for your g35 would you go with kinetix manifold or motordyne spacer?

edit: just got back from the shop, hopefully the body work and paint will be done soon. rims have been painted!! looks awesome in person.

Is it possible to use motordyne 5/16 spacer and a kinetix ssv plenum together?

Also heres some updated pictures of the body kit / painting build.

(also installed carbon fiber engine cover today as it just came in!)

I wish it were possible to run the spacer and the kinetix ssv. I want that upper plenum strictly for beauty's sake. So cool lookin. It couldn't be possible tho cuz that manifold bolts like directly down to the runners. Nothing like the shape of the spacer.

Weird... The vendor i bought them from said they both can be put on together?? Because i was debating between the motordyne spacer and the kinetix, as the cosworth you lose hp unless you go FI. And he said both can go together and im like are you sure? He said well kinetix replaces top plenum and spacer is for lower plenum... Made sense to me lol...

You sure he was talking about the right one? Cause there's a kinetix one that looks like the stock upper plenum (but black), and there's one that's all beautiful and chrome with the cool lookin runners.

wow you got screwed... the spacer goes in between your upper and lower plenum. Kinetix and cosworth replaces your whole plenum. The oem plenum, kinetix, and cosworth are just intake manifolds..

Doesnt the spacer go over the 6 air intake holes between the plenums? So the spacer wouldnt go inbetween the 6 holes and kinetix plenum?

Found this on a motordynes site but not sure if you meant ssv plenum.
http://www.motordyneengineering.com/faq.php

I currently have the 2003 287hp motor with the kinetix upper plenum and i was wondering if a mrev2 or 5/16th spacer combined with the kinetix upper plenum would make a difference in power. the kinetix plenum is a little bigger than stock.
The MREV2 is an option, but because you already have a plenum spacer, it will add another 2-6 HP at various parts of the power curve. Predominantly in the midrange.

The spacer goes between the upper and lower plenum. As a 2003, you do NOT need an mrev2. The kinetix ssv replaces the upper and lower plenum, so there's no room for the spacer.

No, the SSV Manifold replaces BOTH the upper and lower plenum halves. The Kinetix V4 upper plenum technically has the spacer built in, so there's no reason to run a motordyne spacer with it. It's an either/or setup.

Awesome thanks for the replies everybody! Overall what would be best to go with then, the spacer or the ssv? I do plan on getting a tune when either of them s put on, as i have art pipes coming in, and have a true dual stillen on my car so far ( and 350z intake )i also plan on going FI for sure either this summer or next just depends on what it will cost i have to see if its in my budget.

Dollar for dollar the MD spacer is a much better option than the kinetix. Of course I love how that kinetix manifold looks, but almost $1k for something that has been said by many to lose power...can't do it.
