it has been stated before that the largest choke point on the upper plenum is actually the neck. he actually chops off the neck and welds on a larger diameter pipe
I definitely like the idea and something to consider. I no longer have my stock plenum but I have thought about porting my kinetix later on.

But did you try the stillen with your hood washers..errr I mean spacers? The washers..errr spacers are probably giving you 20hp by themselves.

Nah man its 20hp per spacer. So thats an extra 120hp. Im fast as **** now. Didnt have the spacers when I recorded the intake temps with the stillen air box. Only did it once and the intake temp was at like 116 if I remember. I still have it, after my tuning is done ill be able to go back and compare the stillen to the LMT.

Not unless you have tunes for both, you can't. On the same day..same ambient temps/humidity. Sorry, man, I know this seems important to you, but you ain't getting to 300hp with some washers and an intake. I'd be surprised if you're making 260 after your tune. And that would be completely maxed out. I've looked at 300whp (NA) build lists and not a single one had hood spacers, and every single one had major engine work done, not these weird gypsy mods. Buy a build motor and some FI with 25psi if you want power. You're literally wasting your time and money; you're going down with a sinking ship. You gotta change your line of thought. Not trying to be rude, but it's simply not worth it to try to get 300whp here just so a stock Q50 can send you home with your tail between your legs.

You want better performance, look into a quaif helical posi rear end with 3.9 gears or 4.08 gears. That will be more a MUCH bigger difference than bolting on everything in the Walmart auto customization aisle.

When did I say hood spacers would add horsepower? All I said was it makes the intake temps cooler. Youre also making tons of assumptions without knowing the facts. I was making 250hp 231 torque to the wheels before this 4in intake and tune lol. On an 06 nonrev at that. Now with the 4in intake and tune, I know for a fact im past 260hp. Dont believe me, look through my youtube channel for the dyno video with list of mods or check out my build thread "Road to 300hp NA." Ive also reviewed every part I have as well.

Dang, you "know" you gained 10hp from an intake? Damn, that's literally more than anyone ever has in the history of a the G35. Oh, and that's switching from the stillen box, so you must be about 20hp over stock. You are a true pioneer. I will follow in your footsteps. I'm gonna get an 8" intake..I KNOW I'll get at least 18hp over my current setup (should be 20 but diminishing returns you know). Keep up the good work, bro.

Hey if youre stuck on old forum knowledge then there isnt more that I can say. A tune alone would net me 10+ HP easily, notice how I said the intake AND tune. You need to read more closely bro haha. I just recommend you do more research. Stay tuned on my thread or my youtube channel. Maybe youll learn a thing or two

Lol..I know exactly what you said, and no, the intake + an updated tune will NOT be netting you 10hp. Old forum knowledge? It's still the same mf'ing car, fool. Any decent numbers you pulled from a tune were simply due to the tune itself + a collection of mods, not any single mod + tune. You already have a tune for your stillen airbox, so all the tune will be doing is adjusting for a very small amount of extra air. You'll literally be pinpointing your mods at this point and you'll soon see what diminishing returns actually are. Tuning your car once indeed makes power by rewriting the "excessively safe" tune that nissan wrote for the VQ. You don't just keep picking up HP every time you tune it for every single mod. If that were the case, people would just tune their car over and over til they were getting 500hp from Fisher Price mods. Your tune at this point will only net you the hp that the extra intake air will support. You're literally counting on an extremely small amount of extra air to give you 10hp..? Man, teach me your ways. With your approach why even buy forced induction? Every mod I buy, I'll just get 10-20 hp per mod as long as I tune it every time.

Wtf are you even talking about?

Again... You need to learn how to read... That 250hp and 231 torque was NOT TUNED. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TUNED BEFORE. This is my FIRST TIME BEING TUNED Need me to repeat any of that again? lol you didnt watch my videos like I said did you? Itll help clear up your confusion.

I actually just looked back and you never said you haven't been tuned. The only thing close to saying you've never been tuned was when you said "blah blah before the 4" intake and tune blah". See when you put the 'and' in there I have room to assume that you meant the tune was gonna be FOR the intake, not the first time completely. See how words works? Your ambiguity leaves things open for interpretation.

So, ok, it'll be your first tune. And how many other mods have you installed since your last dyno? Why yer dynoing your car for non tuning purposes in the first place is beyond me. Is it just to wipe some lithium grease on yer d!ck and jerk off to the numbers or what?

Anyway, let us know, buddy. I need 10hp/mod too. I'd be up to like 80hp by now.

Nah bruh I go dry. It was a dyno day and for only $40 I threw it on there and was surprised by the numbers for not being tuned. Ill definitely keep everyone posted.

LOL arguments about what the car actually makes.. can we just get along and enjoy each other's passion instead of forcing others to conform? He's the one driving the car at the end of the day so let him be
