Help, My G35 is lacking power! need advice
purchased a one owner g35
2003,six spd. 85k
The car does not have that pep when accelerating...
It doesnt pull me back in my seat at all, and the acceleration is mediocre at best.
Mind you, I am not used to driving fast cars' My last car was a honda civic.
When I accelerate in 2 or third gear and floor it, the car just gradually accelerates while the RPM jumps! The car is not as quick as it should be.. My friends g35, same year same everything pulls me back in my seat! We are both stock and unmodified.
What could be wrong with my car? I replaced the air filter, changed the oil etc.
Could something be clogged? could my clutch be going bad??
Please help.

man that last quote might just be a signature...
I'm no technician, but my suggestions would be as follows:
1. ECU reset.
2. Run some fuel injector cleaner now and after each oil change.
3. If your tach is jumping while you're revving then I'd say get someone who is experienced check out your tranny.
4. Maybe MAF or throttle body, but I think they would both throw codes should there be an issue.

disconnect batt and pump breaks or disconnect batt for 24hrs to reset ecu...prob ur injectors or MAF. clean both, just b/c you used injector cleaner doesnt mean theyre clean..theyre easy to remove and reinstall.MAF is also easily accessable and easy to clean.could maybe be your spark plugs..swap to ngk irridium plugs
