Reseting the ECU? After the break-in period....

Hello everyone, I was reading one of the posts https://g35driver.com/forums/showfla...sed&sb=5&part= basically the person said that we had to roll down the windows or else "your @#$#ed" can someone tell me why that would be if you don't roll down the windows and disconnecting the battery? Thank you!!!

Re: Reseting the ECU? After the break-in period....

The G coupe lowers the windows when opening the door and raises them AFTER the door is closed. If the battery is disconnected and the door is opened and closed the window will strike the lower edge of the roof as the window will be in the full up position. Say hello to chipped paint and who knows what else.

Currently driving 93 RX-7 TT. Very seriously considering selling the RX for a G-35 coupe.

I thought that feature was to prevent air pressure in the car caused by doors being closed.

That's correct. Don't know if you remember the older Camaro's wobbly windows that had to flex everytime the door was shut. Seems this short down/up when the doors are open/shut will preserve the window integrity. I noticed the Boxster has this feature too. ...dean

Re: Reseting the ECU? After the break-in period....

Has anyone determined if it can be reset by pulling a fuse rather than disconecting the battary?? If you can do it with a fuse, which one and where is it located?

Using a fuse would be easier and also elimimate the window question and resetting the radio presets or other items affected by loss of power.

i have (although i'm too lazy to click that link but i think i made the post, hehe) and I liked it. Breathed new life into my car

and for resetting the radio, it's easy

1) am
2) press scan
3) hold '1'
4) wait for beep
5) press scan
6) hold '2'
etc...

repeat for 3-6 and then for fm, fm2, takes like 1minute.
