the mistake is to think that infiniti is a hight end car maker... They do make Hight end cars but not all of them are....
Well, I don't think I expected anything really out of this car other than a nice ride, which I think I accomplish. The ultimate praise I got was when I drove up to a curb to park my car and guy walking his dog noticed me. He said, "Nice car! It's a manual, right?". I replied "yeah, no other way to drive this type of car but with a manual transmission". He replied "Yeah, I am so going to get one too. I have a Jag four door and would rather that car!". Well, that pretty much sealed it for me :-)

As for standards? Yeah, I expect Infiniti to be a better brand, which I still believe it to be. I had plenty of other cars in the past (none new when I bought it though). So far, so good. Most people praise me my purchase so I don't have any regrets (unless my axle falls off from the clicking noise that I think I hear) :-P Like I said, it still have the dealer plates on it so it is new still and I haven't even reached 1500 miles so I can't redline line it...yet (it has 1450 though!). The way I look at it is that either I spend the money on this or spend more on the BMW 330ci I was looking at also. However, I am not going to pay the nearly $15K more for the BMW to be just as equipped as the G35 was. So, I'm a happy G35 camper :-)

Sure I read a lot and get as much info as I can in case something is an issue, but all that worrying makes you not enjoy the car.

Someone hit my car in 2 places - no dents, but some nice scratches. I'll get it taken care of and enjoy the G. And I'm very **** about my car - but I've learned you can't control everything. (I learned that from my old lady)
