I have an 06 x and I'm thinking of going with the G/z setup....I've already picked up a set of z springs of craigslist....and will I need to change my shocks/struts?

Not at all, that's about half way. I'd be afraid to even test it. Erik and I barely got the jack from under the car with this setup.

That's what I thought too, but I wasn't sure if it was for the 2nd gen as well.Originally Posted by FlyingLumpia

So it sounds like BC's can't raise the rears high enough for severe winter driving? Sounds like a safer drop would be with H&R's (and not require camber kits)? Are these the correct one?
H&R Sport Springs - G35 07-08 Sedan, NON AWD
Another vendor I messaged said that H&R has a kit for G37X Coupes that he's sure will fit the AWD but he's not sure of the drop... it definitely sounds like ppl are happier with H&R than Eibach or Tenabe so I'd love to figure out which kit you guys recommend.
Thanks guys!

This is my first set of coils so I'm going to go ahead and say yes. The only reason that comes to mind is that both spindles (if you want to call it that) wont have pressure so it'll be easier to loosen it up and adjust it as opposed to grinding the threads cause of the pressure.Originally Posted by wsolo08
Damn! lol do you have to jack it up in order to raise it/lower it or not?
Someone could correct me on this if I'm wrong.

I don't think coils would be ideal to drive in the winter. Anything that's adjustable is always hard to configure. Think about changing your suspension and you had a few or so bolts that were hard to remove. Same thing with the coils except the adjusters would be hard and you might even ruin the threads since they are exposed to the salt and what not.Originally Posted by Kamikazejs

Hey gang,
I have some great news but first I have to ask.... How are the Megan coilover compaired to the BC racing ones regarding price and performance?
My news,,,, wait for it wait for it.. Hotchkis racking has someone to try out the prototype front sway bar for the '05 G35x and will have it in production in 60-90 days. If the person that is letting them test it out on there car is reading this we all owe you a huge thanks. We have been waiting for this for a very long time.
Cheers!
