BTW is there a muffler at all ? wouldn't be before the turbo huh ????

My car was louder with just my old borla and stock cats than it was with test pipes and Greddy twins.

I agree, any water, gunk, etc on the tires would go all over the filter there unless you could make some kind of custom shield.

I figured they quietened it down some but not completely.

well that z sounded pretty damn good. loved the turbo sound

My friend has been telling me he wanted one of these kits for his tacoma and that they are only 3,500 bucks. I've not had time to investigate, but for 5 grand I would rather go the conventional route.

if anything else I'd look into just sticking the filter directly on the turbo inlet
Exactly what I was thinking. Very good point.... You don't know how much sand, water & crap I've found on my muffler in that area .

Damn my car is loud now!!! I got to turn it on today for a bit and check it out. Then it will be going to Cobb if they can hurry their a$$es up

well...duhhh...

You face the filter twards the back of the car and use an aluminum shield louvered as well to the back for protection.

in the trunk?.... what kind of airflow is in the trunk? wouldn't that be stagnant air?
