Walmat is better because they come in 5qt containers. I usually pour it back into there but to only measure out how much oil I've used. But I usually keep used oil into a 5 gal container.

If the store has a problem with it, I just tell them what's the difference inbetween me pouring out all 5 gal now vs coming back every day? They usually say f-it and let me pour it all out in one shot

I use
Amazon Amazon

That center portion is just a funnel. I also attaches to the oil bottles apparently, haven't tried that

^^^ that's similar to what I was referring to - but at 12.5 qrts the dimensions of that one must be huge... it looks pretty shallow so I'm sure its real wide and long which makes it awckward to work around when laying under the car. They have smaller versions of the same style.

^ Its not that big and I dont hold it up, just leave it on the floor and move it as the oil flow slows. My car is on ramps so its not that high up. Once I get Jack stands I will probably use some wood to bring it closer

I just have a small issue sometimes with oil splashing when it first comes down lol.

I did mine last year and love the way it looks but the metal is tapping and rattling. I was going to try and trim down the small "fingers" that were cut to hold them on and use some epoxy to attach them but if that didnt work I would be SOL trying to pull them off with hardened epoxy. Any advice?

I used to have a plastic container with about 5" diameter top opening with screw on lid and mesh filter - and on the side it had a pour spout with a screw on cap to empty from - worked real good and was pretty low/shallow so worked under most of my cars but the G is a pita to get under so I dont use that method anymore...

You can buy similar containers at any auto parts store - or buy the disposable kind (they aren't as easily fitted under car and not as easy to work with)... most auto parts will empty from any container though.
Glad they don't care about the container.

I have one that's round that I got from walmart. It has an 8 quart capacity. Yours would work well for coolant.

What's their policy if some of the fluid is mixed? IE, a little brake fluid mixed with coolant?

I usually buy my oil only when its on special so its 30 bucks with filter. They stop carrying the 5.25 quarters though

But I am weirded out, I did put my oil back in a 5 quart once and it only showed up at like 4 quarts or something like that. But the Dipstick did not change since I put the oil in and drain. So I dont know whats going on?

Heh, I dont know I just mix it all :O, This is at advance auto. They never asked me and I dont see anything other then used oil. so if its oil just throw it in. But idk about coolant.

It doesn't do that bad anymore.

^Yeah, but not very much. And yes, I've learned the G must be level if not tilted fwd slightly to get all the oil.
It was still pretty low.
My car does burn a little oil, and I think the were going longer between oil changes without checking the oil.
That's one of the reasons I choose to "over-service" my car
