I say leave it silver for some contrast in your bay.

do you need aftermarket sway bar end links when running aftermarket sways?

 

No you don't need them but adjustable endlinks allow you to keep the sway bar in a neutral position (removing any preload from the endlink) when the car isn't under load, as a result making them more effective. If you are lowered quite a bit I would definitely recommend them.
