There's nothing wrong with getting a custom exhaust from a shop, provided they do good work. Something like a Magnaflow is much higher quality than the Megan crap, and you can also design it however you like to suit your tastes.

I say go custom!

Why do you think the megan stuff is crap?

I guess maybe I shouldn't say it's crap, but the quality is pretty questionable. There's usually a reason why the stuff is so cheap. It's definitely not the quality of a company like Magnaflow that has been around for a long time and has a lifetime warranty on their stuff.

It seems like all the tires on the cars i drove have heel to toe wear on outside..my 07 X has the same thing..is it just the AWD on these cars?
What car did you drive before the G? 60-100ish feels pretty much the same. The Passenger seat does vibrate a bit but does it matter? Almost every car I have been in passenger seat shakes if no one is in it. The person sitting in it does not feel a thing. I have sat in the seat too no differences from the Driver seat.

Its pretty hard to tell anything over the web, if 4 different G's did the same exact thing then its probably normal and you just need to stop thinking so much about it lol

Guys need advice.

When starting from stop, at around 10 mph, there is big 'clank' noise coming from front. what could be it?

thanks

Yep.

One of our members (Danny, AKA thescreensavers) actually put his phone in the engine bay to record the sound.

It's the ABS pump priming... for some reason it doesn't do this until you hit about 10mph

Then it only make sense that you should be feeling the same thing in the drivers seat right? We talking about your 07 here? Why not have some one drive your car on the same exact road and speed and you sit in the passenger seat and figure if it feels any different. On your 07 have you ever had a high speed road force balance done to it?

I had it done when I installed my tires, and My mom of all people noticed how much smother my car was compared to my Dads LS430, why? Its all in the Balance. It means a lot.

Would it be a problem at all to put on aftermarket headlights if one of the tabs was broken?

Thank you very much.

This is perfectly how it sounds like. But, this didn't use to come before. it just started a couple of weeks back. Why would that happen. Is it pronounced in winters and not in summer?

I tend to hear it more when it's colder. I bought my car in July last year and I didn't notice this sound until winter set in. It seemed to go away, but I'm hearing it again as the temperature is dropping this year.

My 03 sedan (auto) drives great when in drive and shifts fine when you get on it in (auto) but once you switch it to tiptronic and let's say 1st to 2nd, when you get on it at high rpms when shifting it doesn't grab quickly as if it's slipping. From that 1st to 2nd it kinda like rides the gear as if I were hugging the clutch.

Could something be worn?
Transmission fluid low?
