Random Little Question Thread

I never seen this happen in my friend's g35 though. his is a 2006.
i noticed yesterday that each time i took a parked my vehicle and come back after finishing work, it will make noise. Is it same with you? I stopped like 5 times each for 10-15 minutes and every time it made the noise. is it ok or something is wrong? should it happen only first time in the day?
Maybe you just didnt hear it...it always makes the sound regardless of time of year, However maybe in the winter its a little more pronounced, maybe. But now that your listening for the sound its going to sound louder anyways.
Does it happen only once you start early morning or is it every time you drive?

Shift ***** are completely interchangeable, correct? Hypothetically, let's say I wanna trade my shift **** with wood trim for a shift know with aluminum trim. Both should connect and operate perfectly? Is 03 different from 04? Was it 2003.0 that had the button on the side, or does 2003.5 have that, too? Or are any of those different from 05-06? Thinking of switching the trim, and I wanna make sure I trade for the right piece.
I believe 03.5 got the button on the side. 05-06 has a different color interior though, so your willow won't match with a wheat.
Have you checked ebay? I think the shift ***** are fairly cheap.

Not yet. I just know there's a lot of different types, so I popped a random question here so I know exactly what to look for.
a very popular mechanic here told me g35 spark plugs are good till 120k miles and no need to change them. i am approaching 100k miles so i was wondering if i should get it changed or should stay put till 120k? please advice.
thank you
thank you
I just changed mine. They were original and had 106k on them. They honestly weren't that bad, but it's still a really good idea to change them out. It's not very expensive and can make your car run a little better.
Just make sure when you do them not to mix up the 4 and 6 coil pack connections
Personally I would change mine at 100k if my car had that many miles on it. 120k is a little much. I just like the piece of mind though so to each their own. I'm tempted when I do a plenum in the spring to do plugs as well, the car will probably have 68k on it by then....

@Songle - I won't be doing it myself, hope the shop doesn't screw it.
which spark plugs do you recommend? Stock ones or something better?
Thank you
I would do NGK plugs. That is what myself and many others would recommend. I'm fairly certain you want the Iridium plugs as well IIRC.
It isn't really that hard of an install but I'm more of a do it yourself person. It could get a little daunting if you didn't want to do it.

I saw a video on how to change it and it was quite over whelming for me since i am not a DIY guy and won't like to play with engine. So i may have to pay and get it outside.
