I am getting my tail lights smoked out. The technician suggested only the taillights, and not the trunk lights too because of troubles with police, ect.

Anyone have any input on how it looks with only the tails tinted? Ive been searching for a bit and cant find a pic on here.

Honestly I think cops would be more worried about your tail lights/brake lights being smoked more than the reverse lights. If you do it, do them all.

Now for my question.. Is the new 3.7 diff have vlsd or open?

That would look really ugly thats why you havent found a picture. Nobody here's done it. You can tint the revere lights leaving the part where the bulb goes untinted

is it a good idea to do a tranmission flush at 100000 miles?

can i use any brand fluid(possibly amsoil or other make) or or should i get one from infiniti dealer only?

do i have to change something called drain gap kit or something which was suggested by parts department of infiniti dealer?

i will be getting it done outside - possibly midas or jiffy lube. so just wanted to make sure before i take the plunge. Midas charges $130 with their own lube. Won't allow external lube. Jiffy lube allows and will charge $140 if i brought my own lube from infi dealer which is $52 plus tax for 4 quart and a dollar for some drain gap kit or something. essentially $200. Infiniti dealer quoted $400 for the same.

on second thoughts, can i just drain and fill instead of doing a full flush? please advice.

thank you

I will be shortly. The only sound clips I have really found are with test pipes...

I just got my transmission flushed all 11 quarts at the infiniti dealer for 170. You need to find a new dealer or call the nissan dealer. Matic-S or J is all that is recommend. So going to Midas would be a no no. As far as flushing you probably shouldn't unless you've done it in the past. Just do a drain and fill every oil change until fluid is clear.

So was it just drain and fill for yours or complete flush? I was told total required is 16 quarts and just 4 quarts to drain and fill as quoted by a guy at infiniti dealer.

i got this car 4-5 months back, so i am not sure of its history and whether it ever has got a flush before. So i just wanted to do a drain and fill or flush to be on safer side.

can you let me know which city did you get it in? thanks
