another question, there is a good deal for maxiscan obdii diagonistic tool going on. i am wondering is it compatible with 2005 g35 sedan? i mean will this be used to read error codes for any lights that come up on dash?

if all you want to do is read codes occasionally, I wouldn't bother buying anything. It is so seldom that you will need to read codes, that when you do you can go to any of the chain automotive stores and do it for free... and there are enough people with code readers and Cipher that certainly you could get a code read.

check again - the line you are seeing is 1K, not 500... the first dash is 500, with 100 rmp increments thereafter. You arent sitting below the first dash - if you were you'd have idle issues.

it's not uncommon for OEM tach to read 100-200 off. This is why it takes some people several runs down the drag strip to learn proper shift points not to hit rev limiter. If you want to know exactly what RPM your engine is in comparison to your dash tachometer, take note during dyno or find someone with Cipher.

As it pertains to the questions in this thread - if you are idling between the first and second large dashes (500-1K rpm) you are fine - remember, it could be off by 100-200 rpm.

 

"hub centric" is referring to the center/hub hole. It's is centered to axle hub. Many wheels (and I suppose spacers) will have centering rings to make it hub centric. Typically a hub centric spacer would mean the flange on the outside will center your wheel. I have H&R spacers and Volk CE28N (Geramn specs to Japanese specs) and use a hub centric ring on the spacer flange for the wheel hub hole.

The lug holes arent relevant with hub-centric. But the do have "lug centric" - which is the same thing but lug holes are centered.

If the hub is centered and you have proper conical lug nuts (which will center to lug holes) - you will be fine. If your spacer is not hub centric - the rings are cheap.

 

Yea the reason i took off my spacers is because they caused vibrations. Im hearing mixed reviews some people say wirh hubcentric spacers you still get vibration and some say you dont

 

Which bushings are the ones people usually replace on the front lower control arms. I know my front lower control arms need attention but i dont knkw if i need the inner or outer bushings?

 

On lowered cars, typically the inner bushing goes out on the front lower control arm.

 

Tuner's Random Question:

Did the 2006 Sedan offer a Projector? I have heard conflicting answers on this. I always thought the answer was NO, but there seem to be a few guys who swear they did briefly offer projectors on the 06 year. Obviously it may be guys that have SEEN projectors on an '06 that were retrofitted, but I am curious on this one. Nissan is known to introduce next-model items in the last bit of production of the old models, so I can't say it's not possible.

 

Have you guys been to this site for wheels. Holy crap they have some sick stuff. Unfortunately I cant get their 3d car example to work for my car. Wierd because I know some of the wheels there will fit our cars.

No projectors were offered on 03-06 sedans whatsoever. They were probably thinking 06 coupes. Sedans didn't get projectors from the factory till 07
