I can get the 2 front akebono calipers for $330. Good deal? (Used) Appearance isnt an issue because Im going to get them powdercoated. Is mileage an issue with something like calipers? Should I get a rebuild kit for it?

Just the calipers? not a good deal. you will need pads rotors calipers and adapter brackets which will cost an arm and leg.

The entire kit is around $1800 for everything, front and rear.

in terms of rebuilt, its nothing more then a couple of piston seals. I wouldn't bother unless you notice a torn seal.

Unhappy Do I have HIDS?

So I have a 2003 G sedan and I just noticed when I turn my lights on, the top ones don't work. The bottom lights work they're a white-ish amber color so I know they're not HIDs.

The top lights both have bulbs in them but they don't turn on, even when I turn my high beams on, they come on at the bottom!

Is that normal? How can I tell if I have HIDs?

Please help!!!!!!

if your top light don't work, your question should be "Why they don't work?" not "Are they HID'S"

Pull the bulbs out and you'll be able to tell if they are HIDs or not.

If I remember correctly in 03 they were not HIDs .

03 sedans have halogen headlights, but Joker's right. If your top bulbs don't turn on that's a problem.

Well I also wanted to get 2 piece rotors which I think adds about $600 to the price, bringing it to 2440. I can get the full set of rotors, pads, lines and fluid for 1092, and the adapters for 195. Only thing I would be missing is shims which I am assuming would be cheap. 2440-(1092+195) = 1153. Which means I would have that much to spend on calipers + shims to come out even.

Am I missing something?

Mite be an obvious question, but did you check to make sure that the switch is on for those second lights? Cause arent they the fog lights or something like that?
