Yeah, the tube that it goes in sits really close to the block and the little plate thingy on top kinda makes it look strange.

This thread should help: https://g35driver.com/forums/picture...post-here.html

hey guys, so we have a 07 rwd g35 sedan at home and a 04rwd g35 sedan, would my winter tire setup from the 04 fit on the 07, running oem wheels from the 04 wrapped in winter tires. i dont think it will but thought i'd double check. cuz if it did i would be able to store the 04 away for the winter.

thanks.

They should fit fine....

My roommate has 04 g35 (non-sport) wheels on his 08 g35 6mt sedan.

Just make sure you have the correct style lug nuts.

Im assuming that the brakes will clear, unless he has akebonos or something. I dont know when they started using those. only other important things are total diameter and offsets http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

So today I jacked up my sedan ('05 AT, sport pkg) to change the oil for the first time since I bought it, and noticed that the front driver side strut doesn't match the others. It is black while the other three are red. The red ones are Nissan badged Tokicos and I am assuming they are standard equipment with the sport package. I'm not sure what the black one is, perhaps an OEM part, I tried googling up the numbers on it and came up with nothing. Not sure which of the previous owners (or their mechanics) pulled this stunt, but basically I'm wondering if these struts have the same specs, or should I shop around for a new one to match the others. I've attached the best pic I could get of the info on the oddball strut.

I'm also wondering if the springs might be different types. It's dark out now, but tomorrow I might go out and take a better look at them.

Note: Recently brought the car in to Riverside for some other work, and they their basic vehicle inspection and didn't notice anything regarding the suspension, even though they checked the tire wear. Curious.

I also have a sedan with the sport package and had to get a new strut and the one napa gave me was black and since I was curious about the difference between the two I ask them for a strut for a 350Z and they brought me the same strut with the same part number.

Yeah, weird. Maybe I'll look through the old service records and see if I can find anything
