If you also get the 350Z intake tube (z-tube) it sounds pretty amazing as well. That part number is 16576-CD000 but you should buy a pre-owned one because they're fairly expensive from the dealership. If you get the Z-tube you will also need the 350Z PCV hose from the intake to the left side valve cover.
You could also get the Stillen intake which is a direct copy of the Z-tube but has the PCV hose location in the same spot so the original Infiniti one will work. Pretty good price on the Stillen one but you need to keep your OEM flexible coupling where it attaches to the throttle body. The 350Z intake it's all one moulded piece.
The airbox cover arrived in the mail today. I can't wait to get home and check it out. I do have the Stillen Z-tube already installed
If memory serves correctly aren't the 350Z tips shorter than the ones on the G coupe muffler? It'll still fit but might not look right.

You are correct, they are a bit shorter. The Resonator section must be the shorter bit, or the Y pipe. I put the extension between the Y and the middy. It wouldn't make sense to go between the rear muffler and the resonator section.
I forgot the y pipe 2 bolt gaskets the first time. Screamed internally a bit lol.
Amazingly quiet now. It's nice. I miss quiet. It drone so damn much with the HKS rep. It was like 30% better with the Magnaflow mid pipe too.
I have a 2005 g35 sedan. I want to debadge the Infiniti part on it. But I heard the letters might leave an outline on your car since the paint around them has faded does anyone think this will happen?

Welcome to the forum, Zklastorin!
I debadged mine at the dealership when I got it, and there were already some faint traces that remained for over a year. With your car, after 14-15 years of being out in the sun, the paint underneath the letters will almost certainly look newer than the surrounding paint. What you can try is remove one of the letters to see how it looks, and if it's really obvious, then put that letter back on using some plastic emblem trim adhesive

I'm glad after many months off this is what you came back to share . Welcome back.

I took the INFINITI off my car when I bought it in 2016 when it was 12 years old. Should answer your question.
Depends on the color really, black will usually have no issue. However your clear coat will have oxidized and it gains a "yellow" tint which is noticeable on some colors, typically the brighter the color the more noticeable. Also, with newer paint I think what most people end up with is ghosting of the ADHESIVE around the edge of where the letters used to be. Proper debadging means using polishing compound and a buffer when you're done. Properly polished there will be no outline on new paint.
Hi, I just got my 05 G35 yesterday. For some reason, the brake light on the dashboard won't come on when I step on the "Hand brake". I saw online that it has to do with some kind of spring that got loosen when release too fast? How can I fix it?
I have two questions. I'm not sure if it is me being a noob or Infiniti do things differently that confuses me lol
1. I went to my car this morning to check on the oil level, and it was fine, but when I took off the oil cap (had to use brute force to turn it loose), it seems empty inside as picture below. Is it because all the oil has drained to the bottom?
2. Whenever I start up the car (cold/warm) and drive it for the first ten second or so, I would hear a short noise that appear to be under the steering column. Brought it to the mechanic and he said he hear nothing...here is the video
