No I don't, although I should. Its a D class mono Kicker amp putting out 940 watts rms running two 2ohm DVC 10" Alpine Type R's, I know they can suck the battery dry with ease, but I never have the system turned up enough to even make a dash light/interior light dim.

They are the only lights that are blinking though, all other brake lights work fine as well as headlights and interior lights. The engine doesn't even idle funny with my system on unless I have it turned way up which is never (unless someone asks to hear it). My 3rd brake light flickers sometimes, other times it doesn't work at all, and the odd time it might stay on for 5 seconds straight before flickering or going out. I will have my gf watch it later with my system on and off to see if it affects the brake light at all.

Sounds big enough to possibly do this. You might want to consider an in-line cap. If it's blinking like you state, check the connector to make sure it's completely locked on. It's also possible a solder on the circuit board is weakened and causing the blink from the bass rattle. Yours seems unique to your situation with extra variables compared to others.

I think vibration damage on a crappy solder joint is very possible

Well by all means, somebody make one over there. If you guys want to copy some or all of my first post on this thread, I don't mind.
Please post a link here though, I'll copy people off both lists so we all know how many reports get sent in

My friend's 3rd tailight went on his 06 G35 Coupe. He went to my local dealership and the dealer did a "good will " deal on the part. It would have been very pricey for that light.

I'm not that great with a multi-meter, so I wasn't able to find any fault with the polarity of the diode. I just resoldered it and so far so good. Got my third brake light back. I'll have to see how it goes, but I feel sorry for you sedan guys. Takes all of five seconds to pop out the brake light on the coupe.

Tried it without my bass going and no light, so then I tried it with bass and again, no light. Then I was driving around with my bass on and it worked again, then did the bass flicker.

I'm just going to tell people I modified my 3rd brake light so the people behind me can see the bass notes of my music and can try to guess the song...

Update on my end: so I decided to play with a couple fuses in the box and bam my third brake light started workin again I still stand behind it being a TSB simply cause I got pulled over for it yesterday and it can go out at anytime as what I did is not a permanent fix

How common is this? I have never noticed, but I have never watched for this either.
