Well it doesnt sound like it is the bulb that is going. Do we know exactly what the problem is yet?

Add me to the list. I was one of the first on here to experience this and it's still out. Stealership wanted $435 for parts & labor... I said no deal and thought I'd run out find an aftermarket light. Between the lack of accessibility and non-existence of aftermarket lights, I've just resigned myself to going without.

Nice to see the list growing. Just need to keep it going.

So...does anyone have one of these lights handy and can take detailed pics of the board?

^I think they do. Most of them mentioned submitting a complaint.

Anyone know how long it'll take before getting a reply or anything? Would be a waste of time if nothing happened lol you know? At least we can't say we didn't try.

Not sure how long or how much it will take, but the more people who voice their concerns the more likely it will be to get their attention.
Some Mercedes guys got an inquiry launched with about half the number of forms we've submitted.

Might never see a reply. Like i mentioned before, these lights failing could be outside the industry acceptable lifespan of LED brake lights. All we can do it try

I don't think it has anything to do with the LED believe it or not... at least from my experience. Yes the led is out, but what I experienced was time to time I would see the LED bulbs alter from one to another which means the bulb works perfectly fine. Mainly the 3rd from the left (if you were looking from the rear as you do when you are driving behind the car) and sometimes the 4th or 5th would get lucky and not work. Even sometimes the whole thing wouldn't work until you press the brake pedal a few times or let the car sit for a while. This thing is really picky for when it wants to operate correctly, but like I said, for me it was the 3rd from the left always not working. Like someone mentioned here it could be a circuit board without a doubt.

^Wouldn't surprise me at all. Let's face it, the 03/04s are not exactly known for having bullet-proof solder joints (*cough*radio/AC controls*cough*)
