M3 is way too overdone IMO. Though it's clean and high class I want to be different.

A couple ideas on lips, trying to find one for a reasonable dollar. Obviously Wald is off the charts:

WALD LIP (Lip used to make original HD trunk)

E-Class lip, contemplating on this one, looks great and great price

Actually someone else is making them I think, HD was the actual company that was making them, now someone else got the mould or replicated it. HD doesn't make them anymore, haven't for a little while. Either way it's the same trunk with the same problems.

Yeah no doubt, so far the best option, I'm eagerly awaiting dimensions, if it's close I will probably be buying it and will post results.

^Thank you for posting this. That's the Unlimited Tuning G2 I think, right? Good looking piece, the only good spoiler option I've seen for this car in something bolt on, other than the overdone M3 style.

Really like it, but I'm going a little agressive on this one, not normally my style, but because it's going to get moulded I know it will work and still be clean. This is turning into a great source for spoiler/trunk ideas, I'm happy to see it!

I'm still waiting on a bunch of info I'll keep updating.

Hmmm actually that's not the G2. Here's the link for the G2 spoiler

I really like that spoiler he has, if I wasn't determined by now to go moulded, I'd get that one no question. Freaking great suggestion.

That spoiler is the Grubbs Euro Spoiler.

I'm super late to this conversation but wanted to add my 2 cents on the fitment and quality of the Strafe trunk (V1, V2, V3) vs the HD trunk. I've handled both in person on a few cars. The Strafe trunk fits better (not perfect) and is of higher quality. The HD trunk is pretty thin (I know because I put my rig on one when doing a photo shoot and the trunk pushes in very easily, freaked me out LOL) and the fitment is off even after making adjustments.

Ok a quick review for Eric over at Baus Auto - GREAT customer service so far from this guy, over and beyond most vendors, and very honest. Anyone considering should chat with him he's doing good things. Has the HD trunk as well for a better price than most, his CS has been beyond others who carry it as well.

He's sourced This lip for me, for a very good price, but I don't think it's going to fly for the G's lines at the end of the trunk (sides) without hacking it up pretty good. Not a big deal though. Definately makes the potential's list.

Welcome boss

Thanks for posting your experiences much needed in this thread and for me also. I'm really doin my best to stay away from the HD trunk, I'm hoping one of these lips will work out for me. The price to get it moulded up here in Canada is going to be a killer, so they'd better do a good job or Ima be unimpressed

Blain pointed me to a place near Toronto that he said does great things, his trunk was done there, so that's likely where I'll go when the time comes. I've considered doing it myself also but have to accept that I don't have the time or resources any more for this level of body work.
