HELP-making a deal now

Guys, does $37,798 sound like a good price NOT including tax on a 2007 G35S auto, premimium, navi, tech package? Price includes $499 Document processing fee (whatever that is).

$499 doc fee is a gouge IMO. I'd pay $200 max and they might waive it if you insist.

They don't have the pricing up for MY '08 yet on Edmunds.com, but invoice price for a similarly equipped '07 with a manual trans is $35,161. I would add $500 or so to that number and not spend anymore than that.

Don't let the dealer BS you with things like "this is a new model" or "this is a hot car." I got my G35x with the same option packages and paid $500 over invoice.

Sometimes you have to go to more than one dealer to get the best deal.

gString35x-first of all i love the name!! lol

and secondly MikeyC is right-you have to go to a few dealers.

My 08 G is from Infiniti of Lisle-I contacted fields infiniti and they started out at 42 after tax and made it feel like we were getting a steal--we knew we cud do MUCH better so we left and did not want to deal with liars. Over the next few days i contacted Infiniti of Lilse and Infiniti Goldcoast.

I told them that I wanted the bottom line price and I did not want to waste my time going from dealer to dealer. I also told them that I wud only come to sign the deal and that I had given my car prefences to every dealer in Chicago-- Infiniti of Lisle quoated me 39,500 after tax- i went and i signed the deal. I also want to point that my expierence with Infiniti of Lisle has been positive.

i havent received my car yet but my ETA is last october
expect lotsa photos

Yeah agreed that the Document processing fee is bull. I had no extra fees. Sticker price - $37,143, OTD (price w/ taxes and other Virginia DMV fees) ~ $39,400. That was a month ago too.

2008 for that price, with all those features isn't necessarily a steal, but its pretty good. That'll probably put you at about $41K out-the-door.

Plus its an '08, they aren't going to budge much in the first couple months on price. If you want it, get it. I'd still try and work a deal on an '07 though, since the car is virtually the same.
