It only shows for about 5 seconds, but it clearly tells me that the battery is only 2/3s charged. Time for a new battery. I checked my wife's key and it does not produce the little graphic, so I assume her key is still charged.

08 journey, 5AT non-navi. if it matters.
this is pretty cool.. so it only shows up if the battery is low right?

i was looking for it yesterday but found nothing.. so i'm guessing my battery is still okay

If you wear tight jeans and have your i-key in your left pocket along with other keys on the keychain, the other keys will press against the panic button as you get in the car. You know the rest......

After just over a year mine lit up. You can't miss it. Like right now, after only 3 months with the replacement battery I purchased at a dealership. Need to find another source me thinks.

Now here's one that most people might know but I'm surprised to find out that many don't:

If you press the status button it will show a horizontal split screen. If you keep pressing the status button it will cycle through different options for the bottom of the screen.

So if you are on the iPod or XM it will show the music info in more detail on the top 1/2 of the screen and then cycle through options on the bottom showing climate info and turning directions for the GPS (but you have to have a route programmed in there).

Again, many may know this but if you don't - it's pretty useful!

Jay
edit. nvm.

Either its an Atlanta thing or you've seen me and are making fun because this happens to me all the time.

Thanks for this.

Just acquired a '07 G35S for my wife's business car, it came with all the service records (every 4k mi.!) but no Owner's Manuals. Thank you very much for this thread, it has been very helpful.

I've downloaded the PDF version from Infiniti's web site but I'm old school, I find it easier to read hardcopy. I've requested a replacement set of manuals from Infiniti unfortunately the manual for the Nav system is not included with those and it looks like I'll have to buy one from Infiniti but that's ok, the other free manuals is a nice service from Infiniti.

Thanks again for these tips.
