I had a loaner 2011g37 this weekend... interesting that they replaced the wheel and side panels with different materials that do not have the peeling issues like the 08 does..

you have to take everything apart and just use 360 sand paper so sand all that rubber off. Then you can get it painted like what i did.

hey guys i just had my steering wheel replaced on saturday and it feels like the material of the new steering wheel is different from the one it originally had...i know its new but it feels/looks nothing like the old one...

i know the trim on the steering wheel is different because it doesnt have the old finish that would peel now its just plain black plastic

thanks!

Yeah, the leather will look and feel different -- very nice, actually, but after having my replacement for some time now, it's blending in with the rest of the car like it should.

If you have any luck with this please let me know. I tried this already and was still shot down by Infiniti Canada. It's a joke! Will never buy another Nissan/Infiniti product again.

I was looking at my steering wheel again today and it is essentially in perfect shape. Since I have the stone interior with black dash even the switch bezels on door don't really show any wear either.
I'd say only if the majority of the S models had the darker Graphite color interior. Since the substrate material is a light cream plastic color, any scratches through the surface paint tend to show greater contrast than a lighter color like Stone would, so perhaps it's less reported in those cases.
