Theres a microswitch in the shifter assembly that gets pressed when u move the shifter into manumatic mode. Make sure that switch is working.

The vehicle recognizes the switch from normal drive to manumatic, i just can’t upshhift or downshift it just stays in the gear that it was in when it was in normal drive

I would make sure the microswitches for the up shift and down shift switches are working also. If those are good, then the issue is probably in your gauge cluster. Yes….it has control over the manumatic!Originally Posted by Aimal

I am in the middle of repairing mine and I think I may have finally fixed it. Just need a few more days of testing before I can celebrate.

Mine had the same issue. Youtube it there is a ignition on off in combination with opening and shutting drivers side door that will fix your problem

do you hear the clicks when you move the lever? i assume you don't have paddles to test if the up/down shifts work that way. taking the assembly off and swapping a new one is not a big deal. can probably find one on ebay for under $50 (just make sure it's a sedan/coupe specific one).
