No this wasnt paid by credit card. Im going to the PO tommorow hopfully everything gets handle the right way. This has been alot of stress and im trying to have everything solved.

At first all this didnt bother me because I knew i sent the rims and he told me he recieved it. As far as the bluff goes it didnt bother me at all it was really annoying being called 25 times in a row while registering for school.

I think it is more than obvious here.
NO ONE would ever willingly offer to just give back 1600 dollars if they feel they were scammed for rims. If he really sent them, he would be fighting this. I would never just offer up 1600 dollars because I am too lazy to go to UPS/USPS (not sure which) and get a simple tracking number. Which is easy to do, you just give them the address you shipped it to and the date (done it twice now).

To the OP, you brought it all on yourself. I dont care how trustworthy you think someone is, you never EVER send money orders or cash. You were just begging him to rip you off. I hope you get your money back, but honesty if he just paid tution, it may be awhile if ever. Just take his Iforged as payment.

Use American Express for now on, they are amazing about getting your money back. No questions asked, you tell them you didnt get your product and the money is immediatly put back into your account while they research it.

i retract my defenses for AHMAR until hes proven to you guys that he did sent the wheels. as DEF prove to G35NYC that he belongs in there.
On Behalf of the G35NYC Community i'd like to apologize for any misunderstandings we caused in here. we do not mean to have anyone come in here to badmouth. we are just a very close group of G Club members that always sees each other on weekly basis. and we actually did strongly believe that Ahmar wouldnt do such a thing but we are putting him on the spot in G35NYC forum boards aswell. The truth will come out soon we will find out.

Well Ahmar should be heading to USPS after 2PM today.

Ahmar I can tell you that if you really sent the wheels and $1600 hangs in the balance, I would not leave that USPS until I got everything I asked for in order to clear this matter up. Quite honestly if some teller were refusing me information I needed to avoid refunding someone $1600 I would make them wish they had never spoken to me by the time I had their manager find the information I needed.

I literally would not leave the post office or stop taking up their time until I received the information.

After calling USPS and looking on their site I have some news.

What are the customer service hours of operation for Track and Confirm Information?
-Domestic Track & Confirm Information
7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time (6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. CST) Monday through Friday
9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time (8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST) Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays (2008 Postal Holidays)

Can I still obtain Delivery Confirmation™ information if I lost my receipt?
-The only record of a Delivery Confirmation transaction is the mailing receipt provided when the item is mailed. No record of the Delivery Confirmation transaction is kept at the Post Office®.

If you really did loose the receipt, you are screwed. Only other vindication I can think of is going online to your bank/cc and do a screen shot (black out important info) and show where you paid for shipping to USPS.

He may be screwed... he already said he didn't use a CC to pay for shipping.

Nonetheless, I would imagine that there has to be some way USPS can search for Delivery Confirmation numbers based upon facility, date and time of shipping.

I called USPS and asked. They do not store any information about shipping for privacy reasons. It is a completely independant and secure system. The way they keep it 100% secure is by ensuring the customer is the only person with the tracking number. He is screwed. (Also a liar I believe)
Plus I find it hard to believe someone would pay the 100-150 dollars to ship the wheel in cash and then accidently loose the tracking number.

Very true... and I believe FedEx may be cheaper still. USPS was much more expensive than UPS and FedEx when I was getting quotes for wheel shipping.

Even his NYC buddies are slowing backing away from him. I will be the first to throw up the flag.

Really? I just did quotes for:

4 packages
25 lbs each
22x22x11 (inches)
Declared value $1600

20854 (MD)
91610 (CA)

FedEx: $143.32
UPS: $213.40
USPS (could only quote one at at time): Parcel post $31.13 X 4 = $124.52 (Priority was roughly $180)

I guess we were both wrong
