2008 G35c Release Update

I spoke with my dealership today, and I know you all say the dealerships dont know s*&^ well this time they heard from the factory so I thought I would just pass along what they told me. I am scheduled to bring my 04 G35c back in April as my lease is up, and lease a new 2008 G35c. They are aiding me in timing this correctly, and I have already left a deposit for the new one. They have informed me the 2008 G35c will be debuted at the New York Auto Show in April and will be in the dealershipes by the end of the month, if not at the latest, first 2 weeks in May. Pricing will start somewhere around 38k!!!!! I know, I know, we were all hoping it would staty closer to the original 33k from the beginning!!! I leased mine at 40k fully loaded and plan to do the same with the new one, so they told me my lease should be around 650 a month, 50 bucks more then it is now!!!

hope this helps, and if it is a repeat of a prior thread tough S@#$!!!!

If this is true then it doesn't surprise me. That means there is an engine other than the 3.5L in use. Probably the 3.7L. I was thinking that they would keep the 3.5L in a non-sport/AWD version of the coupe that would be rated the same horsepower wise, and, would have similar cost starting around 33k.

I would believe a 3.7 Liter version to start around mid-to-high 30's, but the "Standard G35 Coupe" will not be raised by 5,000 dollars

If its going to cost 38k, I'm not buying it... especially if thats the base price... no longer a "bargain" IMO. Might as well get the 335i at that price.

Also, they can tell you all they want about "hearing from the factory" but don't believe a word they say. I was told by a Sales Manager that 07's don't come IP/Graphite even though the brochure he handed me clearly showed they do. He still told me they didn't. Don't believe anything until there is an official announcement from Infiniti.

What dealership are you working with, I've been speaking to one in Va and am being told that they don't expect them to arrive until June or July, they are also not accepting deposits until after the NY Auto Show in Apr

At $38k, it will no longer be a bargain BMW. That's about the same price as the 335i. With that kind of price, it better have the detuned GT-R engine w/ 2 turbos in it. If not, it lost all its advantages over its main competitor, 335.

Ehhh that all sounds like bullcrap. We still haven't seen the production model and they are saying it will be in dealerships in 4 months? It probably won't hit hit dealerships until the last quarter of this year.

And about the price. $38k is probably for a fully loaded one. No way a base one will be that expensive or everyone will just go buy a 335 including me.

Interesting stuff but I doubt it is true. I wouldn't expect a price that high on a base unit. Perhaps with a 3.7l and AWD.

IMHO it's also unlikely the cars will be released for sale within a few weeks of the initial unveiling.

Well I'm just spreading the word of what I heard and she seemed very confident about what she was saying, as she had spoken to the factory less then a few days prior.

Ill be at the NYAS so we'll I'll get more info on it while I'm there!

I was at my dealer today in NY. I spoke to one of the sales managers and they told me they would have the car in the showroom in August. Didnt say anything else about anything. This was from Infiniti of Massapeaqua
