Are all HR y-pipes the same? As in is the y pipe from an HR 350z the same as the one from the 370z/G37? Or do they have different I/O diameters? I have one from a G37, will it make my exhaust better or should I just keep the one I have on (original DE y-pipe)?

Finally

I have read through all 61 pages. Let me say that people need to research before posting the same stupid questions. Read! Its very frustrating to read 32 posts asking "can I use the same gaskets" and "is the g37 y-pipe the same as the 350z"

I do have a couple questions that were never directly answered here.

Aside from 07-08 has anyone installed newer model y-pipes on their 1st Gen v35?

Did anyone ever successfully install the HR exhaust manifolds to their DE?

Hr y pipe clarification

Afternoon guys

I have read and searched in regards of this small mod some g35 owners do.
I just want like a definitive answer.

Would I be able to use the 2011 y pipe for my 04 g35 coupe mod?
I've been told yes and no and a couple saying that it would need to be modified.

I haven't seen late model y pipes on the g35 early models.

Plan on getting it this weekend so any responses back I am thankful

Thanks again

What are the diameters of that? It looks alot smaller.

It seems to be really hard to find real HR Y Pipes these days...

Anyone know if HR cats provide any benefit over stock DE? I found a few y pipes but seller wants over 200 and is throwing in oe cats (assembled).

I have an '03 sedan and get the feeling am just over paying for hr y pipe and cats I already got.

I assume you are looking at the ebay listings, I don't see any difference in the HR cats.
HFC's is what you need, the cats they are selling it with are useless (which is why I didn't buy it).

Thanks. saw listings for 370z and g37 y pipes for way less anyhow. got a quote from Fast Intentions for HFCs but spending that much on cats makes me wanna go aftermarket for the rest of the way out.

was thinking FI HFCs, HR y pipe, Tanabe Medalion Touring system

Most exhausts unless its a true dual don't add any power.

Kinetix HFC's are good and they don't cost that much.

Y Pipe doesn't really add much power, just improves mids a bit.

No point in spending a ton on an exhaust for no power. Just change the cats and call it a day.
If you find a good deal on a Y-Pipe then get it.

G37/370 Y Pipes are different from what I have read and make no difference or add additional restriction.

Bumping this thread as this has my interests as well. Done a few searches and haven't really found anything: Do HR headers bolt up to the DE engine with no or little modification? Do they provide a benefit?

Thinking of getting HR headers and cats since I may have to replace my cats anyways.

I read that they do bolt up but that one bolt has to be a different length
