LED under glove box/steering wheel help
I did these a while ago with BLUE LED STRIP! LOVE IT!
Glad to find out that soo many ppl are doing this, too!
For me, i simply connect and wire all the wires together using electrict tape and connect to a SWITCH that plugs into the CIGARRETT lighter plug.
so..I can switch ON/OFF whenever i like it.
Here is some pics:

Rear seats:

Same place as Deftronix's. HAHA
I am going to do the AUTOMATIC under the door and probably under the side bumper like underlight kit.. later on .
AND, inside the GRILLE like my frd did.
Here is a photo on my friend's Sentra with RED LED Strip:

YES, da ENGINE is ON FIRE!!
I live at Richmond Vancouver (West Canada), for those who are interested.
I bought this LED strips in Parker Place (a chinese mall) right behind Aberdeen Centre.
I will put up a DIY after I did more LEDs
HAVE FUN!~

Hi Guys
Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead.
I'd like to integrate the CCFL's to operate when opening and closing doors and also when my headlights go on.
Is it safe to connect the + from the ccfl's to both the map light and the headlight wire?
I don't want to use my maplight as the switch as I don't want that light on in conjunction with the ccfl's.

Hey
Np, better than starting a fire in your car
No, you need to use a relay, probably more than one.
look into relays...

switch
How is it possible to have these lights hooked up to a switch, like someone here stated before they can activate via a switch from the cig lighter. i'm new to electrical work and would need a very noob DIY guide.
I would prefer to have it that way or, have the CCFL turn on when my headlights on as a 2nd alternative.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys

I took out my cig lighter on the driver side and stuck a switch in its place. Perfect fitment (got the rocker switch with led light up form oznium.com). From there you just use a male to female quick disconnect terminal on your power and ground so you can plug it into the oem socket (where your cig lighter plug used to connect into). To get the cig lighter out, you just take apart the panel and push it out from the inside (might have to jiggle it a little). From there i believe there was one screw that held the cig lighter in its casing. Make sure you disconnect your neg. battery before you do this! once the cig lighter is out, you can plug the rocker switch into the casing for a snug fit while keeping the circle light around it as well.
you only used electrical tape? you might want to solder or atleast crimp the wires~

I've a question regarding the harness. The harness is kind of hard to take out. The foot plate is also in the way. How'd you guys take out the harness? Did you guys remove the footplate? When I unscrewed all 5 bolts, the footplate still did not budge. And how did you tap into those wires? The wires isn't that long and so if I accidentally cut the wires, I wouldn't any room to fix it.

you dont exactly need to cut the wire to tap into them. just use a razor blade to cut around the plastic part of the wire then wrap the new wire around it. use electrical tape to hold it and ur good
