I have a pair of ebay OEM replacement mounts that I was going to throw in until I realized how hard engine mount replacement is on the G. Part of why I want to keep the dampener is because it reduces stress on the mounts and might prevent mine from giving up all the way.

Did you DIY or pay someone to do yours? If I could get it done in less than 3 hours I'd do it but since everything still works fine as of now I'm in no rush to do them. If I wait long enough maybe I'll have money for something that isn't ebay.

My mechanic did it for me he did it all in one day. I bought some cheap motor mounts from some random parts store I didnt expect much out of them but its I've a few months already and everything is still good

Is it true rwd motor mounts last longer than fwd motor mounts ?

Have you taken one apart yet? Definitely not hydraulic. Looks like 2 EnergySuspension endlink bushings crammed into a cylinder. I think I have one in my garage somewhere that I removed.

One mount that will help shifting is the z1 trans mount. Beware though, lots of new noises come into the cabin. I thought I had an exhaust leak for a week before I realized it was the new mount. You can also get a stock style one from rockauto. Trans mount is pretty easy to replace.

I haven't had a chance to pull the broken damper but that delrin ring you can see in the cylinder I believe is the bump stop, if you pull it out you can see the piston and the seal. If I can't get it to seal up I might actually do that and cram rubber into the cylinder and try and make a semi-solid connection at that point just for engine mount reinforcement.

I've already put in an ebay oem style trans mount, I didn't noticed much of a difference from my semi-blown old one but maybe that's just the old motor mounts taking up the slack... weakest link etc.
Would have been super easy to do if only I didn't have to remove my entire exhaust to get to it!

One thing I don't like about the G is that the rear turn signals are red, and they're red inside of red when the lights are on. I wouldn't mind if they were LEDs like the rest of the taillight. Because of that I feel like it's hard to notice in the light of day. So, I swapped to LEDs from Diode Dynamics. They have 3 different levels of brightness to choose from. I picked the middle. It's the HP11 which they rate at 310 lumens. They have red and amber colors to choose from. Definitely brighter and more noticeable than the stock bulbs! Super easy to install. Would recommend!

Ooh neat. I could use that. Two hands on the wheel would be nice.

Sadly we can't use them on our G. It has the auto-adjusting power wheel with the I-key and that mod only works on the manually adjusted steering wheel.

"Tail as turn" mod was the first thing I did when I got my car. I wish I could see or enjoy this one more but hopefully the people behind me do !
