went to dealer to have oil consumption test started. I had been changing my oil myself every 4kish w synthetic... anyhow they told me i have to provide proof my oil was changed from a shop to nissan for them to warranty the engine. She said they can start the oil consumption test but i have to pay 45bucks for them to change it. I thought it was a free oil change. On top of it nowhere does it state that ive seen that the oil must be changed by a business. This is bogus I have a couple reciets from my changes myself but she claims that wont even work. What is the oil change requirement interval when using syntheic?
My 06 manual basically says: Premium sched 3750mi. Under severe op conditions 3750mi. Normal op conditions 7500mi.
i just started the OC test so when i go to the dealer for the first test i need to be there when they measure it correct? also how many MM does 1 quart equals to? coz TUSTIN infiniti said im 1 quart low.

8oz is 1/4qt = no big deal and won't hurt engine.

1qt = 24mm according to the TSB on first page and if your dip stick is a 1qt per L to F industry standard....
so they are telling the truth i guess?

I got topped off once when I wasn't watching on a return trip.
When I was there to watch for official level reading, I was at full......again
Just some games to be aware of from some dealers...
G/L

Hello all,
Going in for 1000 mi OC test tomorrow. Any suggestions? I have an 07 6mt with about 19,000 miles and at 1000 mi and down about a half quart. Looking at the chart it seems I should qualify. Any suggestions? Should I demand to observe the readings or what?
Thanks,
James

It's still Corp that approves replacements even if you qualify and it's what the dealer says to regional rep, remember that
