Yo Blain. Toyos don't like to stretch at all, do they? I was at a shoot today for a company who wanted to put their wheels on my car - first stanced set they've shot. They were trying to put on a 245/35 on an 11, but with no luck. I asked what tire it was cause the sidewall was sorta messed up, but they knew it was by Toyo.

I was just curious - adding to my knowledge of how certain tires work.

I an quite a few others have been successful with Toyo's in the past. The Liberty guys are all about em... Vivek also ran them for a while.

Hmm. He might've not had much experience with them then. They were fitting 225s on 9.5s and 245s on 10.5s all day long to ship out...all equivalent stretches. Well, not technically, but you know what nomsayn.

If a tire is beaded/unbeaded several times, does it looks it's ability to bead properly when stretched that much?

i need some help getting new tires. i want to get some bigger tires because the ride is too rough driving here in LA. what do you guys recommend?

here is my current setup:
2004 g35 sedan

suspension:
tein flex with edfc
rear camber arms

wheels:
volf sf challanges
front 19x9.5 offset +17 with a 10mm spacer
rear 19x10.5 offset +23

tires:
225/35 r19
235/30 r19

front is -2 camber
rear is 4

all fenders have been rolled. i'd like to raise the vehicle when i replace the tires. what do you guys recommend as far as getting a bigger tire and making the ride a little better so that i dont bend the rims everytime i hit a pot hole haha.... thank in advance!

It will lose is ability to seat in general, stretch or not. If its been on and off 6-7 times it's probably damaged....

As for the toyos not seating, tell them to leave em in the sun and pull on the sidewalls a little. Often what happens is tires when shipped are strapped together and it pushes the sidewalls in, this makes them a real struggle to pop them the opposite way.

Who told you to run those sizes, that's extremely ****ed.

a 245/35 out back will help a fair bit, and you can probably go 225/40 for the front.

A 235/30 should not be used on the back of these cars.

Don't. one pot hole and you'll have q cracked barrel.

Not with those offsets, max I'd do is 245/35 in the rear and 225/40 front. 245/35 is actually almost the same amount of sidewall as 275/30.

Either that or try and find someone to trade for some high offset wheels.

Yea, it's probably got a stretched bead or something then.

What is a good fender to ground measurement for 20" wheels front & back? Something that won't scrape everywhere but looks good? Or is that possible... lol

Anywhere from 25-26.5 as long as you aren't running a very aggressive stretch, if you are at all.

What if I'm running the maya setup I was talking you about the other day? 235/255 on 10.5/11.5?
