This is.. by far.. one of the most difficult things i had to do! lmao the wiring was coo but putting it all together oh my GOD.. if u saw the inside of my fob.. you would laugh. Trunk button doesnt work but TOO SCARED TO REOPEN AFTER 8 HOURS OF TESTING!

 

So, I've read this thread and it looks like a wicked mod to do (thanks to everyone who pointed this out), but I have one question that hasn't been addressed. I have an 07 coupe, if I bought the intelligent key for the 07 year, could I take it to the dealership and have them reprogram it to work with my car?

I've seen this addressed on the 04, but not the 07s. Any insight into this?

Most dealers don't even know you can do this mod. When I handed my keys to the dealer for service once they asked me if I was sure I had a G35.. lol I told them to try it and they we're shocked and asked me how I did it.

I did this too and what you should do is compare the pics of the standard g key fob and the new key fob. There is no reason it shouldn't work. It's just a matter of getting the buttons to be in the same place.
