DIY: Upgrade your ugly FOB to a nicer Infiniti Smartkey
Hanguk, i realized that we have two different circuit boards in our original fob, i have the one just like in your pic, (K702068...) as seen on the top left part of the board. i tried to follow the original DIY and soldered it accordingly but, i cant get my lock and unlock buttons to work. i tried 3 different times, dont have any physical damage to the board.....now my question to you is, did you follow the original DIY or, you had to do anything different as far as the soldering/circuit goes. help me out, i am stuck.

comeon' somebody please reply why only the trunk and the panic button works for some of us??...( agian, i tried several different times. the wiring is pretty similar to the ones in the original post, the only difference is that i happen to have a little bit differnent circuit board in my original fob.)

I finally got mine working~! I got my new remotes in a couple days after my last post but I have been busy... I finally got the time to do mine and it works perfectly. I had to dremel out some of the casing to make it close all the way but it works great now.. If anyone wants this done I can test it to make sure it works before shipping it out. I figured out a way to test it before shipping it to you so let me know if anyone wants tis done. If you send me the remotes it will be cheaper or I can buy them and do the mod then ship it out. Not sure how much to charge yet though........
tanko11 just sent me his remote to do the upgrade on, I finished it tonight and am waiting for payment, then i will ship the remotes back to him. I tested the remote to make sure it was working and it works like a charm. I'm sure he will chime in when he receives his remote back and tell you guys how good it works. Anybody else need this done please let me know.

hey everyone,
i did all the soldering and the buttons function normally when i use only the circuit board by itself. when i try to mount the board in the intellikey housing, none of the buttons work, but sometimes the "lock" function opens up the trunk. i know the circuitry all works, and it seems to be simply a matter of getting the buttons to contact the circuit board, but ive tried and tried, and i'm stuck. can anybody help me? thanks alot!

Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't it be a lot easier if we just switched the buttons on the remote around to match the our circuit board instead of the other way around.
The buttons looks like it'll just pop out with a little force.

I don't fully understand the procedure. Do we take the entire board first, then lay down the copper, solder, and then tape again on top of the soldered copper??
2nd question; do we have to poke the copper wire through holes in the board and solder it on the back side as well?
