thanks to Redlude got this thing to work!! awesome mod . just feels so much better than a 04 fob.. 28 bux for a key fob, 22 bux to get a key and cut it at the dealer, also got the lil clip for free *just had to bring a hex key to take it off and he let me have it* so basically 50 bux all in all.

This question is for everyone that successfully did this mod.
Can't get my unlock and trunk remote functions working, is there 2 different cables at the unlock position? Per Parklife's original post there is 2 a red and a blue, is this correct? I will really appreciate all the help.
Thanx

Quote: I deleted my previous post, and here is the updated one.

I received an intelligent fob key different from the ones first posted. I believe its the same as Strtsk8r321. In order to make it work, I took the buttons off the intelligent key's circuit board, and glued it onto the modified circuit board. The buttons fill the gap, and make it work. I also discarded the rubber part shown on the far right because it causes the case to be too bulky and very difficult to close. Here are pics!

And thanks to Strtsk8r321 & Red_G35 for helping me out.

I have an extra fob key shown at the very bottom for sale. I posted it in the classifieds...

Hanguk, i realized that we have two different circuit boards in our original fob, i have the one just like in your pic, (K702068...) as seen on the top left part of the board. i tried to follow the original DIY and soldered it accordingly but, i cant get my lock and unlock buttons to work. i tried 3 different times, dont have any physical damage to the board.....now my question to you is, did you follow the original DIY or, you had to do anything different as far as the soldering/circuit goes. help me out, i am stuck.

I tried mine last night but my soldering gun tip was too big from using it a lot and I accidentally fried off one of the resistors on the board so I cant lock anymore lol... and when I put it in the case nothing contacted so I think I need to run a thicker wire.. I ordered 2 OEM remotes off of ebay so i can try again.. Hope it works this time.
