Anybody know if the G35 recall ones will work? The overall shape looks the same. If anyone knows they will I have a whole toolbox full of them.

I think it will work. Remember, we just need the casing, not the internal stuff. They recalled it because of the memory issue. If you have a lot, i'll pay for one that is still in a good shape. PM me.

hii..

i just registered over here to try and finish this DIY.. btw, i'm registered over my350z.com, but this full DIY isn't posted there.

i just want to clear out some doubts.

for the unlock button, do i really require a second wire that comes out from the same spot that it goes for the lock button??

the whole remote control is running fine so far, it's just that i'm missing the unlock button, and i've tried using the same wire that goes to the lock button, but it doesn't seems to work.. i'll try to get a picture this evening and post it up here of what i have reach so far.

thnx

no, you can just use the same wire. Easy way to check if you have it wired correctly is to take a small peice of wire, and touch it to both wires for the unlock function and see if it unlocks the car.

I just stumbled on to this thread. Just curious ... what is wrong with the original remote that came with the car? Are they breaking or is this a cosmetic change?

and is tougher (metal around the chain hole so it wont break. Also the keys are metal, not rubberized plastic, and the function indicators are applied better and wont wear off like the original.

Just a much more classy and serviceable product.
