It's the green and white wire on the same harness as the steering wheel control wires - the harness that doesn't plug into anything.

Hey Wrathernaut, great thread btw!

So getting the x930bt, I dont need the PAC SWI-PS, instead get the Metra Axxess since it doesnt have VR is my understanding correct?

Thanks! So close to putting all my parts together and this thread helped so much

Yep, Axxess is the way to go.

Don't forget to thank the original post, and if you're willing to part with your old parts, I've pretty much run out of my own stuff to experiment on to make DIY videos and such.

Oh, and I was about to say bring the car on over since I'm 10min away from Richmond Hill, but then I noticed that you're in RH, Ontario, not RH, Georgia.

EDIT: It was just me being stupid and skipping the "Put it in Drive" step. Apologies~
Why am I having trouble pulling off the bottom half of the trim where the shifter is (Automatic Shifter)? I'm getting the clips off and the entire piece is loose, but from what I can tell, there is a wire attached to the bottom of it, which is attached to the 2nd layer of trim where the shifter is; the part that has the P, R, N, D. I feel like that wire is holding me back, and I'm scared to just pull harder. I'll try to grab a few pictures to show what I"m talking about.

The yellow wire, I believe. Am I just being really stupid? ._.
You may also notice that the shifter display panel thingy is also loose on the right side, while the left side seems to be held down tightly. I don't know what that's all about either :\

Looks like the wire just got looped over something, get somebody with tiny fingers to untangle it.

Welp, turns out both ends of that wire are attached to the trim piece anyways, so that's not what's holding me back... According to your video, it should be a simple "Lift the trim up and away" but ****... You did it with one hand XD I'm having the hardest time, and I'm terrified of ruining something

I'll continue F'ing around with it until I regret/discover something.

EDIT: It was just me being stupid and skipping the "Put it in Drive" step. Apologies~

hey, i know you said aside from the 3 decks you mentioned to purchase the mextra axxess aswc, im looking at putting a p4300 in my 05 coupe and was just double checking that's the one i wanna purchase.

Aside from that everything i need is as follows:
JDM Finisher w/ dual climate control
Metra 40nI10 antenna adapter
Pac ROEM N1S2 (for factory bose amp)(question: is this the wiring harness or will i need to purchase one of those as well?)

For my p4300 i'll need:
Brake bypass
PIONEER CD-iU200V (ipod interface cable)

Just hoping you can tell me if thats everything i need, you seem to be the god of double dins on here. Also wondering if you have any thoughts on the pioneer avh-p4300, ive only read good reviews but im interested on your take on it. I dont care about nav, bluetooth would be nice but whatever, i like that the buttons can almost match our stock amber and that its in my price range of under 500$ can.

Thanks in advance,

Yeah, the Metra Axxess ASWC is the steering adapter you want.

The ROEM-NIS2 replaces the harness.

You'll probably want the Scosche trim ring as well.

4300's good, but the lack of bluetooth is kinda a downer, and the bluetooth adapter for it is pretty expensive. I think I'd do the Kenwood DDX418, slightly smaller screen, but worth it.

Alright i really like the look of the 4300 so i think thats the one im going to end up getting, i like the full 7" and am not to concerned with BT, i was looking at ordering all the pieces but the finisher and my deck from ebay. All the stuff says the genuine brand. Would ordering off ebay be a mistake?

eBay's fine, just make sure you're checking amazon, woofersetc, sonicelectronix first.
