Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

I just installed the window mod on my sedan. It took about 1.5 to 2 hours. The actuator wire took up most of the time because the speaker hole has this plastic guard that makes the opening even smaller. Here's a pic...i attached it with some servo tape...btw the tape at the upper right is were i first put it until i realized i couldnt get the door finisher on.

Your speaker looks different than my sedan's. Is yours the non-Bose? Couldn't you just remove the white plastic guard to make more room?

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

On my coupe, there was a hole already drilled in the door, but it was covered with a gray sticker. I removed the sticker and found a small plastic grommet and placed that in the hole, then replaced the sticker and poked a hole in it. It worked out really well for me. We are in the process of gathering everything you'll need to do the install and will include the small stuff with every purchase. From the amount of emails I have been receiving I think we will look for cheap soldering setups and offer them also. Soldering is fairly easy, and the best way to make all connections!

So I take it it works Stormshadow? Of all the ones we sent out we've only had one person email us for help! Stupid '04 350Zs and thier crazy wire colors!!!!

No one has ever mentioned that, and I have never really noticed it I guess (maybe I should drive my car more). It does make sense though, when you lock the doors it does lock the gas tank. My dealer explained that when I picked up the car though, so maybe that is why I never really noticed! Glad you like them!

That works only with the ignition OFF. Software in the module prevents it from working with the Ignition on. Also, the BCM of the car prevents it.

So far only good feedback! no major problems to report at all (not that we expected any) I would also like to thank all the testers and other people who helped (even the ones who installed the beta units and I never heard from again!) As of today at around noon we are officially sold out of window modules. We won't have anymore until mid June. You can still place orders, and units will be shipped in the order that the orders were received!

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

thanks to SFLG35 i just got this installed. Appears to be working perfectly.

If you are thinking about getting this mod....do it. For around $65 it is very convenient to have and with the door panel removal DIY it is pretty easy to put in.

Same here, although that BLUE wire was a bit tricky. I now leave my windows down on purpose, just so I can close them with the remote. I'm easily amused Thanks, KP!

How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

For some reason the door lock seems a little buggy. It doesnt ALWAYS lock the doors when I turn the ignition on. Is there a trick to that besides pressing the lock 3 times?
