I just ordered Stillen Swaybar and the retailer said they come with bushings, many people suggest to change your bushings to poly bushings when you get swaybars. My question is what bushings are they talking about? Is it the bushings that come with the swaybar? Thanks

I used existing OEM rubber bushings - but that was years ago, Stillen didnt provide bushings back then... I'm curious to know if they are replacement OEM, or aftermarket poly bushings?

They might be providing replacement OEM rubber bushings simply because the car has been out for so long now, that they should be replaced anyway... Stillen probably figures its better to send new bushings than to have a forum full of people complaining about issues after installing Stillen sways bars (because the bushings were bad)...

that's my guess anyway...

Don't forget that if the outer diameter of the new front bar is different enough the stock bushings won't be a great fit, new or old. Most bars come with bushings so they have a precise fit, usually the rear esp has larger O.D.

I dont know about the bars Stillen is putting out now - but I've had them for years... they didnt come with bushings - they were designed to work with existing bushings... never had a problem (tracked and spirited street driven).

Yeah, they are just a thicker wall on the pipe, ergo, stiffer.

I thought Whiteline had them... did a quick search and didnt find - but I'm pretty sure they make 'em.

Not sure of anyone else.

I have the Hotchkis on my car for 3 weeks and I wish I would had order stillen instead. The Hotchkis are noisy. I grease them up really good and still bad. I thought it might be the new endlinks so I greased up the bushings again and nothing. I notice it is louder the slower I drive. I am thinking of selling them and ordering the stillen. Good luck with your decision

I saw a few stillens that had snapped...
There is a pic of one on this very thread, and stillen wanted to sell him another one at a discount price lol...
If your car is lowered on stock endlinks, then the noise is probably from the endlinks.

I bought whiteline enlinks with the Hotchkis swaybar and I greased them all really good. I might try changing my settings on the sway bar and see if that helps. Do you have Hotchkis? If so, did they ever made any noise. The vendor from this forum told me that Hotchkis have being known to make noise, I just didn't think it was that bad.
