is it under power train warranty or bumper to bumper? if i change my rims and springs would it affect my warranty?

no, the comp rod is not under powertrain warranty since it doesn't effect the motor or transmission, as for bumper to bumper; what year is your car? likely the 2003-2004 bumper to bumper is over and you are not eligible for compression rod replacement.

not too sure about springs.

We may be able to help you guys do it a bit cheaper, but I really can't say much more without being a vendor unfortunately

Email me or PM me for info, I hate to see you guys spending 1000+ to get two of these things replaced.

It will get rid of the klunking, I just did mine the other day after a year of klunking and it is heaven. I would have done it sooner but I live in Kingston and I am nowhere near an Infiniti dealership

Did you have to do anything from a customs perspective when you ordered your compression rods from Riverside Infiniti? You mentioned it cost you $90 for tax and brokerage. Did you just pay Riverside by paypal or credit card for the parts, then you get billed the $90? Or did you have to contact a broker to get your parts across the border?
I need to do the same thing and was just curious about the process.

I have same problem (05 G35 Coupe) please anyone. I want to know how you replaced the compression rod. I will be changing them soon.
Do I need to remove the cross arm underneath the compression rod (where the rod is mounted), how do I take it out.

Pictures will be very helpful.

If you are interested I can give you coupe c. rods for 253,- each, and sedan for 270,-.
Taxes are extra, pick-up in Ajax Nissan.

yep remove the red part its like 8 bolts. then you have to take the bolt for the compression rod. its usually fused in there. We had to torch it to heat the sleeve up to pull it out. What a bitch of a job.... the old boot caught fire... car started smoking lol

Put alot of anti seize on it when you put the bolt back in.
