Do this:
1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” (NOT start) and wait 3 seconds.
2. Repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
2a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
2b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
4. Fully release the accelerator pedal
You don't have to go to the parts store every time you want to see what codes are being thrown by the ECU. Using the procedure above, you can out the ECU into diagnostic mode yourself, and the SES light will actually display all the codes present for you. After doing the procedure above, the SES light will begin to blink. Record the Flashes and see what code is present. Let us know what codes are present and maybe we could help you out better.
So you don't understand how to read the flashes you say??? Oh, no problem. Just look at this link for the Barney style breakdown on how to read trouble codes like a BOSS. http://forums.nicoclub.com/how-to-re...s-t488116.html

The car had to be towed to the garage because it would t start. They couldn't get it in either. Nothing broke it looks fine. It was hard to remove so maybe i pulled to hard and something inside broke. The mechanic is going to a scrap yard sunday to look for the piece.
worst case I found a 350z engine harness on ebay, will that work?

This is ridiculous. Any mechanic who tells you that you need to replace an entire harness in order to repair a single connector is trying to scam you. What you need to do is find someone parting out a car, a junkyard car, or any car that you can cut off the connector you need ...that is if in fact does need to be completely replaced, which I find hard to believe. Bottom line, you don't need an entire engine harness to repair a single connector. A picture of the damaged connector would help greatly. It is odd to me that you could damage it so bad that the entire thing needs to be replaced while just trying to remove it. I'm not sure what you used to take it off, but unless it was pliers and a hammer I can't see how it couldn't be repaired. I would almost bet one of the connector pins just needs to be re-seated or something. How exactly did you try and remove it, and what did you use?Originally Posted by one2nite

I found a guy on the boards that will sell me a harness so just have to wait till it arrives. There was also a 350z harness on ebay for 100$ but nobody can confirm that it will fit. When i get the car back ill take a pic of the connector. I did use some pliers to help remove it because it wouldnt budge, but it didnt crack or get defromed from that

This is a nightmare lol. I need a engine harness ASAP, the one i ordered was missing the camshaft sensor clip. If u have one just cut the clip off and ill take it. i dont need the whole thing ill pay pretty much the same price as the whole harness. Fedexed and shipped to Montreal, Canada
