How were you able to pull out the sensor on bank 1 after removing the bolt?? i am pushing in on the little "spring" release but can't manage to pull back the other way on the sensor. theres not enough room to get to hands in there...

Once the connector and screw is out the turn the sensor and you should be able to insert a flat blade screw driver between sensor body and the engine and turn the scre driver, which should release the sensor

when you remove the bolt, you can pull out the harness and the sensor. use a pliers on the harness to release the sensor.

I posted a pic on page 5, post #64

I know a few people have said to get OEM sensors but is it REALLY that big of a deal to get normal ones at Autozone or other stores? I just want one that will work and stop my car from sputtering and dying!

I used pliers as well to loosen mines, as well and purchased an aftermarket brand. I paid $25 for a replacement from a local friend of mines, that's the main reason.

If I'm not able to pull off the green connector can i pry out the sensor and connector together and then situate it so i can remove the green connector after? I've already removed the bolt that holds in the sensor...

if you've read anything in this thread the one thing you should know is to spend the money and get the oem sensors.

Push in on the release carefully with something, it's a PITA but it'll come off

the connector is not like the other ones where u gotta unclip the tab while pulingl them apart. thats the misleading part. the connectors actually easy to undo. all u have to do is press the green tap forward with ur finger (not downwards) like a button. that unlocks it ull hear it click then jus pull apart

Well i don't want to wait extra days on parts to come in the mail. It's a little tough to push on the release when its underneath it and i can't fit my hand down there...I don't know how you guys have done this, my hands don't fit! I need a little person! I had cuts all over my arm yesterday from trying to fit my hand down there and got nowhere on the issue!

i used my thumb. u trying to release the connector while the sensor is in the engine or something? undo the bolt and pull the sensor out. ull have more access to it that way
