I also found that if you do not want to complete all of the above steps shown, disconnecting your negative battery cable for 12hours should also do the trick, does that sound legit?

Ok i just successfully reset the ECU using this step only

Basic ECU Reset

Operations Procedures:

1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” (NOT start) and wait 3 seconds.
2. Repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
2a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
2b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
4. Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)
5. Wait about 10 seconds.
6. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.
7. Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).
8. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone. If the CEL light continues to remain ON, repeat the above steps. Remember, timing is EXTREMELY critical to resetting the ECU. You may even need someone's help to do this correctly.

Very easy to do but i suggest using a stopwatch of some sort. Highly reccomend doing an ECU reset if your installing any kind of aftermarket intake/exhaust/or induction manifold. Thanks for all the help fellas

I think sticky threads are more read than "normal" threads.

I have done the pedal methods many times; not that I expect anything out of it... I just do it after installing a new mod. It's really not hard if you have a stop watch

you realize that this thread will fade into the background soon right? stickys are made so they are permanent. but thanks for the thoughtful gesture

I will take it to the 1/8 on Friday. I really hope I can do less than 9.5.

Hi, with a chronometer. My friend was inside my car and he would tell me when to start. We did like that before I purchased the UTEC and I was on 7.5; then 7.2 when I installed the UTEC and tuned it.

I just came from the 1/8 mile track and did 9.500 seconds; that is 0.11 better than last time. But this time, my times were much closer to 9.5, I did a couple of 9.56s and 9.62s. Before I was always on the 9.6s and only did 9.511 once.
