Worked the first time for me...thanks for the cool trick.

Side note, it appears the codes are "blinked" to you after the initial 5 presses. Useful if you don't have a code reader!

I purchased a used 06' G35X not too while ago. The previous owner was probably an old owner.. this car ran like a turtle. However, after the ECU reset. Wow .. just wow. My G is born again...

Amazing...

After 15 tries and not knowing if this will work, I just reseted the ECU and when I took it around the block it was just amazing.

Wow nice

Took me 2 trys but i did mine different...noticed when i put my key in and turn it to the on position...my car beeps 4 times...and its a 4 second count...

So after the 3rd beep i pressed the gas peddle all the way down 5 times in about 3 seconds...

Then waited 7 seconds...then i pressed the gas peddle down for the 10 second hold...the engine light started blinking on the 4 second of holding...released the peddle
Then went for the 10 second hold again and it stop blinking on the 4th second...released the peddle and started it and it was a nice feeling...

For me the reseting made a difference...and i am the 2nd owner so it probably had a memory build up...

Hope you guys understand what i did and maybe it helps others...

don't forget to stand on one foot, hop in a full circle and fart as you pass 12 o'clock. Otherwise it doesn't take.

so I tried the pedal method again today and got it on my first try. I noticed a bit of a difference but not much, it definitely flys into higher rpms though.

i did the pedal method and i got it on the 7th try, but now all i got to do is hold the gas pedal down for 10 seconds and the check engine light will start blinking, i didnt have to do the 3 sec or 7 sec wait. Also when i step on the gas pedal when the ignition is turned to on it makes this light tapping noise. Is there something wrong?

I just reset ECU, & after 5 tries, got it! Definitely a noticable difference! MUCH more pep, & stiffer shifting..

Took me about 20 tries in the beginning. Lol. Then I read on here that you should have the windows up. After I rolled em up and tried again, worked after 2 tries.

I have a question (or two)...

What about those people who use the Sprintbooster (or similar product) which, supposedly, decreases shift time between shifts? If the ECU teaches the tranny when to shift, who overides who? Does the Sprintbooster win, or the ECU?

I don't see how they can both control the shift times. In Spock terms, it doesn't seem logical. My guess is there's some BS somewhere in this equation.

Someone please tell me why I'm wrong, since the Sprintbooster is one of the mods I could probably do on my own. Then again, if someone can explain why I'm right, then you've saved me some money.
