Does anyone know if this works for 350GT's?

Apparently they have different ECU's... but I have not been able to confirm this. When you turn the ignition to 'on' but not 'start' no lights come on and stay on.

ECU reset

What are you trying to reset by doing this? My 03 G35 Coupe 6MT was idling very high and threw a code for it. I fixed the problem by cleaning the throttle body, and cleared the code with my snap-on scanner, but now the idle speed needs to be reset, which apparently you need the Nissan scan tool for. It now idles at the right speed, but takes a few seconds to drop down when you step on the clutch. Does anyone have a programmer, such as predator, and if so, does it offer the system functional tests?

i heard that disconnecting the negative side of the battery and press the brake pedal in for like 30 seconds will reset the ecu.. is this true or just incorrect info? lol thanks for the responses.. i just installed my intake and it sounds like it's pulling too much air (making a psss noise) will resetting the ecu take care of this problem?

is there proof the hard reset (battery disconnect) burns out the ecu? im thinking of doing the easy reset since it's obviously easier/quicker.. but if the hard reset works more efficiently, then I might try that. I just installed my AEM intake yesterday and I need to reset it. It seems to be pulling too much air and making a pss noise when accelerating, will the ecu reset fix this?

(sorry for the multiple posts on different threads if anyone saw.. just trying to get an answer)

Aftermarket intakes make more noise as part of their design. Resetting the ECU won't change the sound.

The point of an intake IS to get more air sucked in...

Perhaps you have a bad connection and could be leaking a little...but if the car is running fine...probably nothing to worry about and a completely normal sound.

It might be true.

I was working on my car last weekend and I removed the battery's negative plug alot, then this morning I saw "Service Engine Soon". My mileage was still 16,005 miles.

I just tested on my '06 G35 coupe. I unplugged the negative plug and pushed the brake pedal within 30 seconds. The warning light has dissapeared.

Just wanted to chime in. I did this just RIGHT NOW. I took my laptop down to my garage (with my watch with seconds hand) into my car. turned off navi, turned off radio and windows rolled up. My first intention was to turn off the check engine light (i had test pipes, but yesterday i put the stock cats back on). So I went down to turn off the light but when I started the car to warm it up, the light was gone. LOL. but I did this method anyway but the check engine light was blinking 10 times first, 9 times and then 10 times again or the 9 could have been an 8. Anyone know what that means? But on a positive note, it felt like the car picked up some power. Couldn't believe it myself. I was only going to do this method to get rid of my CES light, but hey, kill two birds with one stone. :thumbs up:

after putting on wheels w/o the tpms my tpms light is on. I tried doing the ecu reset to get rid of it but all it seemed to do was make my gas mileage worse.
